Very Sad News
On Friday, 11/29/08, Pat was involved in a motorcycle accident on the way to Julian, CA.

His wife, Beth was with him and when Pat swerved to avoid hitting a truck, he was thrown, as was Beth, from the bike. He hit several mailboxes before hitting the ground and sustained a fatal injury to his head causing him to loose consciousness. He was pronounced dead at the site. Beth suffered serious back and shoulder injuries.

A paramedic continued to work on him and was able to restore his pulse and heartbeat. Unfortunately, his brain had been deprived of blood and oxygen for over 1 hour, so he was alive but brain dead. His family removed life support today, 11/30/08.

On behalf of the family I thank you for your prayers and support. The general outpouring of support and love has been immense. We are truly beyond grief and still quite stricken with it all. It seems surreal to believe that we will never see our Pat again. I thought I'd at least post the information I have regarding services for anyone wanting to pay their last respects. The viewing will be Monday 12/08/08 between 4 and 8 pm at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido. The funeral services will be at the same place Tuesday 12/09/08 between 10 am and 12 pm with interment services at Oak Hill Cemetary in Escondido. Please pass this along to anyone you know that might want this information as we cannot even scratch the surface of all of Pat's friends and aquaintances.
